Stand Bags

Stand bags can be carried, are generally light-weight, and have legs that automatically unfold when the bag is place on the ground and tilted backwards.  This allows the bag to be placed free-standing while you select your club and take your shot.  Most bags include a dual strap for multiple carrying options.

Cart Bags

Cart bags often have more pockets and storage compartments than stand bags.  Because cart bags lack legs they are meant to transported in a golf cart. They do have a carrying handle for transporting but generally lack the multiple shoulder strap options that stand bags sport.
